Thermal Foggers

In the past, thermal foggers were the first choice for adulticiding. These units heat insecticides to dispense a thick fog over a large sized area. This thick fog as well as the variable sized particles that they produce has caused many thermal foggers to be replaced by ULV machines. Thermal foggers are still used for smaller areas such as mobile home parks and campgrounds. Below are the most popular thermal fog units that we carry.

The Golden Eagle is a hand-held, electric start unit. It can be started using “D” batteries or through a cigarette lighter receptacle and runs on gasoline. With full formulation and fuel tanks, it weighs only 27 pounds.

The Blackhawk is considered to be a hand-held unit but due to its weight of 75 pounds with full formulation and fuel tanks, many use it in the back of a pickup truck or on a trailer. It has an automatic shutoff valve that enables single-person operation by allowing the operator to fog while driving.
