Educational Materials

Mosquito Manuals: For the past six years we have provided a comprehensive mosquito guide that includes information on Mosquito Species, Mosquito Transmitted Diseases, Mosquito Biology, Control Techniques and Products, Equipment and Maintenance, Safety, Record keeping and Public Education/Relations. The purpose of this manual is to provide information on starting or improving a mosquito control program. This manual is updated on a regular basis and distributed at no charge with orders or at educational seminars.

Newsletters: We strive to obtain up-to-date information on mosquito control and pass this information on to our customers in newsletters such as SKEETER REVIEW which is sent to our customers approximately five times per year. SKEETER REVIEW contains information on controlling mosquitoes economically and effectively. We also have a special bulletin called VECTORLINE that concentrates on mosquito related health issues and updates.

Brochures: Brochures on our most popular products are always available at educational seminars or by request. The purpose of these brochures is to provide information in an easy-to-read format. These brochures can also be made available to your community if they have questions regarding your mosquito control products.

Educational Seminars

Satellite Seminars: At MUG-A-BUG, we feel that continuing education is very important. These seminars help keep attendees informed on current issues and general techniques to improve mosquito operations. Over the years, we have scheduled many of these seminars in various locations in Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio as well as occasional seminars in other locations. As an added benefit, some seminars have been approved for Continuing Credit Hours in states such as Indiana.

Licensing Seminars: Another goal at MUG-A-BUG is to help our customers operate in a legal manner. One way we do this is to offer assistance to those in states where a license is required to perform mosquito control. We have had very positive reviews regarding our licensing seminars that we offer at a discounted price to our customers.

Equipment Rodeo’s: We have held a number of Equipment Rodeo’s in the past few years to educate our customers on equipment maintenance. Often these seminars involved FREE particle size tests (a $215 value). We plan to schedule additional Equipment Rodeo’s in the future.

FREE Equipment Loaners 

Did your ULV break down unexpectedly? Will it take 2-3 weeks to be repaired? Whether a ULV is still under warranty or is 15 years old, as long as you are using our quality products, you can receive a FREE Equipment Loaner. This program has reduced the amount of downtime when a major component has failed and will take valuable time to repair.

24 Hour Troubleshooting

We realize response time can be critical to your program and will work with you until the problem is solved. We send out magnets with our contact information so that you can reach us after business hours if you have equipment difficulties that require our assistance. We also have an extensive parts inventory for maintenance and refurbishing most models of ULV and Thermal Fog equipment.

Forward Purchasing Plan

This popular plan allows our customers the flexibility of ordering supplies at the previous year’s price with very flexible delivery/payment schedules to meet their budget.

Exceptional Service

Our goal is to offer EXCEPTIONAL Service! Our knowledgeable staff is always ready to assist you with any questions or problems you may have. We also strive to provide efficient service. In season, we ship most orders the same day they are placed. If it is a truck shipment, we ship exclusively with R&L Carriers. They deliver next day to ninety percent of our customers and offer power lift-gate service at no extra charge.
